Apollo Bramwell sale not concluded yet

Contract for the sale of the Apollo Bramwell Hospital business has not yet been awarded. This announcement was made in Parliament by Pravind Jugnauth. The Minister of Finance stated: “The contract for the sale of the Apollo Bramwell Hospital business has not yet been awarded.” On 24th October 2016, the NIC Healthcare Ltd invited LENMED Health Africa (Proprietary) Ltd and CIEL Healthcare Africa Ltd, the two reserved bidders from the previous procurement exercise carried out by the firm BDO, to submit their improved offers. By the closing date of 1st November 2016, both bidders submitted their proposals. “As negotiations are still on-going at the level of the Board of the NICHL, it is not appropriate to disclose any information at this stage, as it may prejudice the exercise. Regarding the deed of sale with OMEGA Ark, it was not concluded because the latter did not transfer the required funds to Mauritius by the agreed date,” he added.
