“The MMSM’s 13th Congress is high on the agenda of my party and in the coming three weeks, our members will be involved in intensive political activities around the whole island so as to make of this congress a resounding success,” Madan Dulloo told News on Sunday.
Although he is not in power, Dulloo explains that he is continuing the work he had started without fear and bracing all risks for and on behalf of the population. However he did not communicate his calendar of activities and his movements for the next few days for security reasons. “We don't have a Chacha Ramgoolam or a Sir Anerood Jugnauth or a Paul Bérenger at the head of the country,” he says.
On the other hand, he lashes out against Dr Navin Ramgoolam saying that the prime minister has maliciously accused him of non-respect of the principle of collective responsibility.
“After advising the President of the Republic to revoke me, he has gone on national television to level false accusations against me. It is clear that he has automatically excluded me out of government,” he says.
Meanwhile, the
politburo of the MMSM has decided that its position within the National Assembly and also outside the National Assembly should be with the opposition. “I immediately made arrangements for my seat within the opposition ranks at the resumption of the National Assembly on Tuesday next. I also had an official meeting with the Leader of the Opposition and discussed coordination of works at the National Assembly,” Dulloo adds.
He also explains that ambassadors nominated from his party “would stay to continue the work started but at the same time to fulfill the contract signed by them”.
As far as Satyadeo Moutia, an elected member of the National Assembly under the banner of the MMSM is concerned, Dulloo says that the latter has to explain for his regular absence from the party's meetings. “Thereafter, a decision will be taken as to his membership in the party. Chairmen and members nominated on different boards would either resign or remain in post,” Dulloo says.
Dulloo adds that he has decided to establish friendly relations with all political parties at the National Assembly, except the Labour party, as well as extra-parliamentary political parties outside the National Assembly.

This guy has lose all credibility. This man represents nothing now and the people of Goodlands and vicinity has been waiting for almost 2 years but till now there have not been any sign of developments in the region. I`m really sorry for the inhabitants who have voted for a man like Dulloo. Shame!!!!

Dulloo's ambitions to become PM will never be materialised. Your sacking was a death foretold since last year. For the past 15 months, it was Navin who was acting as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Dulloo was a lame duck minister, who will not be missed at all. Let Dulloo rot in opposition, and surely, his party must sack him.
