The 7th International Conference of the Society for Free Radical Research Africa (SFRR-Africa), 28th African Health Sciences Congress (AHSC) and the Fourth African Rotavirus Symposium, will be held from July 14 to 17 in collaboration with the University of Mauritius.
About 200 international delegates from United States, Africa, India, and Eastern Mediterranean, will participate in this event. Postgraduate and PhD students from Africa will present papers along with the experts. Professor Theeshan Bahorun, the Ag SFRR-Africa President and conference convenor says: “It is indeed a unique opportunity to hold talks focusing on medicinal plants and traditional medicine in health care systems and on Rotavirus vaccines in Africa. Issues such as HIV Aids, cancer, and also the food crisis which is extremely important for Mauritius will be covered along with presentations on marine diversity.” The outcome of the event will be a comprehensive review of oxidative stress chemistry on normal and abnormal biological functions, nutritional and functional foods, and the impact of food security and sustainable agriculture in Africa, developing countries and island states.
The interactions will also promote research relevant to the health and agricultural sectors, encourage scientific skills and competency transfer in the African region. The symposium will be opened by the President of the Republic, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, on Monday, July 14, at 10.00, at Octave Wiehé at auditorium, Réduit.
