* I think Salman Khan is gradually fading away…
I’ve noticed that too. Take his latest release. Wanted is not being backed by higher classes attending multiplexes. And we know that multiplexes really bring in the money for films, not single screens. Wanted has had a good harvest (1st week at least) among lower classes. Which means that Salman’s appeal is limited and that is not a good thing for a star.

* A reader. Hrithik Roshan’s real name?
Hrithik Nagrath Roshan.

* What are the releases of Hrithik Roshan this year?
None. Kites has been postponed for next year. According to information, Rakesh Roshan is undecided about what scenes should be edited and the editing is taking a very long time indeed. Dubbing also is incomplete. But  Hrithik will have two releases next year: Kites and Guzaarish (Aishwarya Rai).

* What is Simone, Sanjay Khan’s daughter, doing?
She is into interior decoration.

* A reader. I see that Bollywood has improved a lot in terms of technique. Nowadays, makers are even doing science-fiction films.
That’s true ! But the content is still not up to the mark. We can even say that content of commercial (not artistic) films has been deteriorating with the years.

* Has the recession affected Bollywood?
Yes. Corporates are reworking film budgets and asking stars to cut down on their fees. Budget allotted to publicity has been reduced. Corporates, at  least some of them, are shying away from films.

* Aishwarya Rai should stop doing films with Abhishek. Public will be fed up of them…
Yes. There’s Raavan and Crooked with both of them.

* Is it true that Rani Mukherjee is very arrogant whereas Preity is not?
In fact, stars are very moody. One day, they are willing to talk. Another day, they won’t even recognize you. I think Preity is quite vain compared to Rani. I’ve met both and can compare.

* Sanjeevish. Sonam Kapoor is very stylish in Delhi-6. Why is she so rare on screen?
Sonam chooses her films with utmost care. She is looking for women-oriented films or at least strong roles. She has signed a Karan Johar film, I hate Love Stories, opposite Imran Khan and her father Anil’s production is Ayesha (Abhay Deol) in which she plays an authoritative girl, an orphan presiding over the destinies of her siblings.

* Arjun Rampal has redefined his career after Rock On. Is he doing the remake of Stepmom?
Yes. We thought Arjun was lost to Bollywood after all his flops. But Don and Rock On gave him a new lease. Though Stepmom is heroine-oriented with two powerful heroines, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, it looks like Arjun has a knock of holding his own among his colleagues.

* Kheman Gooroochrn. Soha Ali Khan is showing considerable improvement. What will she display in Tum Mile?
Soha’s best till now is Rang De Basanti. In Tum Mile, a soft romantic film, she will shine again. The film is carrying very good reports and with the Bhatt brothers at the elm, the music is also bounced to be good.

* Something on Once Upon A Time In Mumbai?
It’s about the Mumbai Mafia of the 70’s and 80’s. A man is sent by the police to infiltrate a Mafia gang. But he is so attracted by power, influence, money that he becomes an even more dreaded Mafia don. A lot of research has gone into the script.

* Rekha is a true diva. She is in top form and has got such a distinctive personality. No doubt, senior Bachchan was mesmerised by her at a time. Right?

Apart from the fact that Rekha is stylish, she is able to hold a pretty interesting conversation. She can talk on a variety of subjects. Long ago, she was quite ignorant and rather plump. Bachchan changed her physically and mentally. She became cultured. For that, Rekha is for ever grateful to Big B. At a time, the teacher and his pupils became one.
