Underage sex charge set aside
Magistrate Wendy Rangan sitting at the Intermediate Court has acquitted Michael Josian Edouard Raymond accused of causing a child to be sexually abused under two counts. The offence was committed on two occasions in April and May 2009 when accused, aged 37, caused minor CSM, aged 14, to take part in an act of sexual nature for personal gratification.

Benefit of doubt to underage sex
Jean Warren Labonne, who was charged with having, in or about year 2009, sexual intercourse with a minor under 16, namely a girl of 7 years of age, in breach of section 249 (4) of the Criminal Code, has been acquitted last week.
