I cry for my beloved country

I regularly travel to and spend time in Mauritius. Very sad to see how the previous government was literally short of changing the whole Mauritian community, bordering on African style dictatorship. The diverted astronomical sums of monies located in private coffers, sheltered bank accounts and invested on behalf of well known parties would be more than enough to fund numerous infrastructure projects that could deliver immediate benefits to the suffering community.

Alors que le changement du gouvernement en décembre dernier a ouvert de nouvelles perspectives pour notre pays, au niveau de la politique mondiale également, une lueur d'espoir apparaît ces jours-ci à l'horizon suite à l'annonce de la normalisation des relations diplomatiques entre les États-Unis et Cuba après plus de 50 ans de rivalité acharnée, un des derniers vestiges de la guerre froide. De nombreux observateurs cependant n'ont pas manqué d'associer cette initiative historique à des considérations purement économiques.
