We, Mauritians, were still feeling the euphoria of our independence that our Foreign Affairs Minister was revoked. Nothing had prepared the population about this possible happening. We are not questioning our Prime Minister for his stand and we are not questioning his authority. But we are questioning the moment. We had so many dignitaries in Mauritius and one of them, from Dubai, has offere

d to invest $250 M and, voila, our Foreign Minister is sacked. Our Prime Minister should have waited for their departure before taking any action.

Our Prime Minister is right in his thought and he had to take action but we do not think that he acted without the advice of his think tank. They should have advised him to wait and then take action. Maybe our top managers can take this advice for next time.
