Stock Research and Interior designing -Two businesses that are less saturated

I am not going to write something for overseas investors who want to buy a villa under the integrated resort scheme nor i am writing something about the great offshore facilities that Mauritius offer through its various signed DTA treaties. This is for people who are creative like me and you.
The route that i take passes by the beautiful and concrete city of Ebene. Many real estate properties are making millions out previously occupied agricultural land.
For once, people like us who have the will and knowledge of creative can dream of making dream project which will bring thousands out of these millions. People who would like to start a career in interior design will find many avenues opening to them in the futures. So many offices, hotels and villas that are being constructed, they will surely open many doors to the creators of beauty. Mauritian now also have the capacity to either consult an interior design or even hire them.
Large shops dealing in home and office decoration products will find themselves much more close to their client if they go to the next step and start a branch of interior designing. Hiring two interior designer will enable your business to grow at fast speed and thereby letting your competitor ways behind. The rate of stockturnover will increased and your market will be secured as you will have some special clients.
My second observation of the world business is about the Stock exchange of Mauritius. The Stock Exchange of Mauritius want make Mauritius a shareholder community through its various education program. Even the newspapers are daily writing on stock happenings. The number of distinct shareholders in the SEM roughly amount to 20 to 50 thousand.
Mauritian don't invest their money in the stock market because many are unfamiliar with it and others believe that stock market is a dangerous game where the probabilty of losing is higher than that of winning. However, the shareholders community would be quite larger in the next ten years.
Where does the scope lie for small business? Those who are familiar with the stock section of the google finance and yahoo finance, know that we don't have a replicate for the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. Google Finance presents shares statistics of listed companies for the various international market and it also allow the user to browse through the various financial report and have a list of key members of each listed companies.
Anyone who will create something similar to the Google Finance where share statistics and financial accounts of listed companies of the SEM would be displayed may become renowned overnight. To add a touch of creativity, you can add something like a filtering system which will allow the user to filter companies according to certain stock criteria for e.g 5<P/E> 10 or %Change in share price>5 . Also quite interesting will be, if you could incorparate a member space where a portfolio system would be given to each member. Any member can log in and view which of its shares are rising and how his portfolio grew from a time to time basis.
The creator of such a project will be directly dealing with people who have a business insight and thus if he adds a business publication facilities like magazine in pdf version, further income will be earned.
If a stockbroker design and implement such a system, then shareholder will also be able to purchase and sell shares online based on their own findings. The stockbroker will only display his recommendations on the website which will only be visible to members.
Two business that will surely bring huge profit are stock research and the other is interior designing. That's my observation and the project are part of my dream but they are very feasible.

I quote the author "This is for people who are creative like me." it seems that modesty is not one of his qualities..
Through the article, barely any figures have been used to illustate the facts, its not enough to say "Two business that will surely bring huge profit are stock research and the other is interior designing." furthermore if these sectors are so enriching why is the author still looking for a job. Dont take it personal there is nothing personal in what i said just some facts which seemed obvious to me. With kind regards, Arshad |

To Arshad,
Thank you for your comment on my article. O.k to clarify, i will say that i am not an interior designer and i work for seven months in stock research. The words that i wrote about stock research are indeed true and the thing that i wrote were part of a dream project that have not yet being completed as a result of lack of finance by the company. I indeed left the company after seven months but i did so much research, understand theories and innovate as well, that i am finding myself lacking the same thrill that i experienced during the seven months i worked there. I am nowadays working as reporting officer. As it became apparent that the company don't have adequate funds to finance the project, i left them searching for other avenues. Thanking you and having no hard feelings about anything you wrote. Do also read my weekly blog regarding the stock exchange of Mauritius. Thks friend. Regards, Ramesh |

I am not entirely convinced that the lack of interest to invest in the stock and shares on the part of the Mauritian community is a reflection of their ignorance of the sector or due to the volatility or the unpredictability of the stock market. To assume so is grossly unfair, disingenuous, flawed and comtemptible of an otherwise well read community of investors or prospective investors. The primary reason, beyond any doubt, [I fail to understand why you did not comment on it], is the total lack of faith in the manner some of the financial and business establishments operate in Mauritius. Lack of transparency, misappropriation of funds, institutionalised corruption, weak management to mention just a few!!! Air Mauritius, MCB etc...supposedly "blue chip" companies hardly inspire confidence. And who can blame them for their reluctance to part with their hard-earned cash.
