A 19-year-old alleged rapist, who feared that he would be bashed to death by residents of Roche-Bois when his  secret was out, surrendered to the police and begged to be put behind bars.

A teacher from Rivière des Anguilles Government School was suspended on Tuesday after having been accused of abusing one of his students, a six-year old girl, in Standard II.

Violent dispute
A violent dispute between two groups of girls took a bad turn at Rose-Hill bus station on Monday afternoon. A 15-year-old victim reported the case to the police immediately after the incident.
