Ce samedi, Paul Bérenger soumettra la première ébauche de la liste des candidats de l’alliance MMM/UN/PMSD au Comité Central mauve pour approbation. Rien n’est toutefois définitif. D’ailleurs, c’est uniquement dans trois circonscriptions – les Nos 1, 6 et 19 – que le choix est finalisé.

this Friday, October 9. This campaign “ which takes the form of a

The hunger strike started by the Sale of Levy Victims' Association
nearly two weeks ago once again raised public awareness on the issue of
Sale by Levy. While Harish Boodhoo remains in prison refusing to pay a
Rs1,000 bail, Salim Muthy and a number of other victims are pursuing
the strike on the Immaculée church doorsteps. They are expected to get
support from the trade union movement on Friday evening.

Dr Navin Ramgoolam
Following an investigation by the National Central Bureau INTERPOL
Mauritius, no record of the arrest of one Hemant Bangaleea in
Switzerland was found. The Prime Minister, Dr Navin Ramgoolam, said:
“The whole story was untrue. In 2006 following another article in the
press, ICAC launched an investigation, and a Judges’ Order was secured
to audit his accounts. Yet nothing was found,” said the PM.
