    Why the fuss over infertility?


    Infertility, you said? What is it about infertility that people make such a big fuss over it? A woman being unable to get a child is just the same as a person who is blind or deaf or mute!

    Holi , the festival of colours, is celebrated with fast and enthusiasm by Hindus all over the world. Merry making , singing and dancing , sprinkling of coloured water on foes and friends alike are the hallmark of this festival that is fast catching up the rhythm of the days or yore when whole villages mobilised to celebrate it with pomp and pageantry with an effusion of colours  and passion. Some drank bhang , a posset, that gave the same sensation as cannabis.

    The HSC results which came out on February 8 caused much hustle and bustle among the Mauritian population. The reason: the number of laureates that the star colleges had obtained compared to the good results that other smaller colleges had got, including the first laureate from Sodnac S.S.S.

    CEB losses on the rise

    CEB , it seems, is run on an amateurish basis as it continues to incur losses  year in, year out and ironically enough, the wretched consumer is made to pay for these losses  that are due to maladministration. There are many little shortcomings in the administration that cost millions of rupees.

It all kicked off with his controversial HR guidelines and now we are lifting the lid on allegations of harassment on a senior civil servant at the Finance Ministry. But who is the real loser? Is it the civil servants, Mansoor or the taxpayer?
