In the context of the World Book and Copyright Day celebrated yearly on 23 April, the National Library, under the aegis of the Ministry of Arts and Culture launched the 11th edition of the Book Festival on Thursday 25 April at Bagatelle Shopping Mall.

The World Book Day has become an annual event in Mauritius. Activities to mark the day, organized by the National Library, started several weeks earlier and will culminate in a three-day activity at Port Louis Waterfront next week. The aim is to promote a reading culture among all age groups.
