Sexuality Education in schools

The Minister of Education has announced the introduction of Sexuality Education (SE) as a stand-alone subject in both primary and secondary schools in 2014. The aim is to give students appropriate access to sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health services so that they can make apt choices in life.

Tackling absenteeism at school

The rate of absenteeism has witnessed a decrease of 9.7% in 2011 as compared to 2010 during the third term. In order to improve attendance level further, the Ministry of Education is deploying every possible effort to promote a culture of regular attendance in all schools, says Education Minister.
