Michael Valere, a cow breeder is extremely worried after he detected a mysterious disease affecting his cows. Nearly one week after Veterinary services took blood samples for analysis, he was told the cows are suffering from pneumonia.

“There is a strong case of exploitation of workers and the minister and his supervising officer are ignoring it. The minister needs to take responsibility as this is having a serious impact on workers. Not only are they demotivated, but absenteeism is increasing along with a fall in the quality of services provided. We have tried on many occasions to deal with the matter professionally but our efforts have not been taken seriously. Due to continuing political ignorance we have no choice but to take drastic measures,” Kallooa Bagooaduth, President of the Nursing Association lashed out.
