QUO VADIS MAURITIUS?

The short-lived honeymoon is over. The infatuation  between the people (lepep) and the EXTENDED FAMILY LEPEP GOVERNMENT (EFLG) is already on the wane. People are now drifting slowly but steadily from etherised slumber into a nightmarish Kafkaesque situation. They suddenly realise that they have been taken for a ride.

No Place for Ramgoolam and Bérenger

The December 10th elections resulted in a series of setbacks, humiliation and lesson learning for the Ptr/MMM alliance in general and for its two leaders in particular with Ramgoolam losing his long held seat at No 5 and Bérenger almost losing his equally long held seat at No 19.

What do you think of the actual political development?
Very confusing, regarding the ideological support of the alliance between the Labour Party and the MMM on the one side and the MSM, the PMSD and the ML on the other side. They are all of the same nature and have the same economic program and yet, they oppose each other for the sake of state control.

Until we see the photo finish!

Ramgoolam will complain - probably rightly – that pictures of him and Nandanee Soornack, taken during a private party, are being spread over a section of the press. As a good politician, Bérenger has rushed to the defense of his eventual partner, while at the same time specifying that he continues to question the operations of that special Labour activist.
