Penalty for late taxpayers
Over 89,000 tax forms have been received by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). Amongst these, more than 80% were submitted electronically. Taxpayers had until Monday, April 2, to submit their tax forms. Those who intend to pay through e-banking have until April 16 to do so. According to law, those who do so after 16 April will be subjected to penalties.
