L’endettement : Un mal nécessaire

Le dernier relevé de la Banque de Maurice indique que le secteur privé est endetté à hauteur de Rs 317 milliards au 30 juin dernier, dont Rs 180 milliards en emprunts, Rs 86 milliards en devises étrangères et Rs 39 milliards en découverts bancaires.  L’endettement des salariés s’élève à Rs 29 milliards.
Entrepreneurship is on the rise, especially with the numerous incentive schemes having been introduced. The government’s ambition is to transform Mauritius into a nation of entrepreneurs. In this context, a one-stop-shop has been launched and new measures announced in the last Budget have been implemented since 1 July 2015.

Modèle africain : Rwanda, nouvel eldorado

Rwanda has been ranked as Africa’s most efficient government followed by Mauritius and South Africa in the Global Competitive Report 2014-2015. The country was also ranked the 7th most efficient government globally. The latest report, released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), put this small central African nation ahead of Malaysia, Switzerland and Luxembourg, which are placed 8th, 9th and 10th, respectively.
