Public Speaking Competition by the English Speaking Union Featured

The Preliminaries of the annual Public Speaking Competition was launched in January. Six heats were organised across all educational zones, the last one held on Tuesday 24 February at the St Esprit College. In addition, a competition took place on Thursday 26 February at Rodrigues College, Rodrigues. The Finals of the Public Speaking Competition will be on 31 March. 
The grand annual Open Days of the Fashion and Design Institute took place from 26 to 28 February at the MITD Campus, Ebène. Besides enabling students and members of the public to have an overview of the different courses offered, the event gave visitors the opportunity to have hands-on-experience in the different workshops.

Open Days at the University of Mauritius

The open days of the University of Mauritius kicked off on Tuesday 24 February at the Paul Octave Wiéhé Auditorium. Lasting three days, secondary school leavers had the chance to obtain all information regarding the programmes offered by faculties for 2015 intake. Online application for enrollment is open as from Friday February 27.
The official launch of the 3rd edition of the National Road Safety Campaign, Cité Zen, took place on Monday 23 February at New Eton College, Rose Hill. On the same occasion a school calendar featuring 12 best paintings of last year’s competition was launched.
