Having been brought up in a family of business persons and entrepreneurs, Pravind Boodhun, Director of Kubera Technology Ltd, has inborn entrepreneur skills and aspirations which developed to full capacity as he grew up. Aged 34, this entrepreneur makes us discover his career path which lead him to open a company that sells IT products and provide repairs and maintenance services.
This week, News on Sunday meets Mr Shams Jhugroo, Lecturer at the Mauritius Institute of Education in the department of Developmental Psychology, Children and Adolescence Psychology. He discusses the importance of moral values in our educational system.

This week I return to England – or the homeland, as I like to call it. It is a feeling so very bittersweet, excitement and yet with a heavy-heart. On the one hand, I will be reunited with all of my family, especially my mum, who I haven’t seen in the last five months; on the other hand, I’m leaving behind glorious sunny days, mounds and mounds of natural beauty and Arc-en-Ciel ice-cream (haha!)

Kevin Keenoo, 26, a young writer, completed his secondary schooling at the Royal College of Port-Louis and pursued his studies at the University of Mauritius where he got his degree in Management and a Master’s in Human Resources.
Jessyca Joyekurun, 29, launched her business in December 2012 and is participating in the Connect Camp which will be conducted by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Her determination, perfectionist nature and never back down attitude are the keys to her success.
Local artist Rashila Ramchurn says she is the pioneer of many art trends, namely Street Art, l’Art Sociologique, Youth Awakening Art, Smart Mob Art, among others. In the context of the International Women’s Day, she gracefully shares some of her latest paintings with News on Sunday.
