Resounding success for eco-tourism drawing competition

More than 200 children from the following categories (ages 6-9,10-13 and 14-18) have participated in the competition. Assaulted with pipes
On Wednesday afternoon, Azad G.S, residing at Roche-Bois, was returning home on his motorcycle after buying vegetables at Port Louis. On his way, he was assaulted by two thugs armed with pipes. Seriously wounded on the face, Azad however managed to escape towards the local market from where his friends took him to hospital.

The crook promised a job to his daughter Shabneez (fictitious name) as an air hostess against payment of Rs100,000. Shabneez was at that time a shop assistant at Curepipe.

Smuggler arrested with Rs 6 million of Subutex

Girl gone missing
On Monday a girl aged 14 and residing in the East of the island was reported missing. On Monday morning she had left home at 7am to go to school but never reached it. Her friend aged 15 and she preferred to bank school. They went to meet their boyfriends at Palmar beach. When not seeing their daughter returning home in the afternoon, Sweety’s parents started to worry and went to police.

Police are investigating on a case of sex with a minor aged 15. On Friday 16th March, Jasmeen’s (fictitious name) family were very much worried. Jasmeen, residing at Plaines-Wilhems, had left her family home to meet her boyfriend, a mason residing at Camp de Masque. It was about 11 am on Friday that Jasmeen’s father found about his daughter's disappearance and reported the case to police.
