Le Défi Plus was started as a weekly newspaper in 1996. Currently it is one of the three best-selling weeklies and Saturday leader with an average of 60,000 copies every week.
Since then Le Défi has grown into a media group owning four other targeted weeklies (L'Hebdo, News on Sunday, Défi Turf, Bollywood Masala), with its own printing press, and has launched a radio station (Radio Plus) which has become No 1 in Mauritius.
Our goal has always been to promote long-term relationship with all external customers and we strive to be a leader in the media industry by providing accurate fair news, top-quality print services, and the best information, education and entertainment content through these medias.
We intend to launch a commercial printing plant. We employ some 150 persons. Le Défi Media Group's annual turnover is more than US$ 3 million.
