National Summer Holidays 2017 Activities by the Ministry of Youth and Sports

 

  • Cultural and Historical Visit on Friday 17th November at the Pagode Kwan Tee, les Salines- Nelson Mandela Centre, Naval Museum, Mahebourg, Frederick Hendrick Museum, Grand Port.
  • Treasure Hunt at Flic en Flac Outdoor Centre and also at Crève Coeur/Malenga, Pamplemousses on Saturday 18th November.
  • Fun Games at Riambel from Saturday 18th to Sunday 19th November.
  • Street foot at St Aubin on Sunday 19th November
  • Camping on Tuesday 21st November at Anse la Raie Residential Centre
  • Zen dan Z’Art workshop on Tuesday 21st to Wednesday 22nd November at the Centre de Créativité de Mahebourg
  • Zen dan Z’Art workshop on Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th November at Queen Elizabeth College
  • Badminton Camp on Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th November at Centre Badminton Rose Hill, Glen Park, Bon Accueil and Rivière du Rempart
  • Nager C Vital Camp1 on Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th November at Mare D’Albert
  • Hiking on Wednesday 22nd November at Alexandra Falls – Le Morne for the youth in the Pamplemousses region and hiking on the same day at Pétrin – Black River Gorges for youth of Rivière du Rempart region.
  • Horse riding on Thursday 23rd November at Centre Equestre La Louisa, Belle Vue for youths of Pamplemousses region.
  • Restoration project on Thursday 23rd November at National Parks Petrin for Volunteer Mauritius
  • RandoZen on Thursday 23rd November at La Source-La Ferme- La Chaumiere for youth of Flacq region.

Chloe Clark Summer Concert

She is back! The talented singer Chloe Clark will be at Vanilla Village, Black River, on November 17th for a great Summer Concert! The event is taking place from 19.30 to 22.30. Book a table of 8, invite your friends and enjoy a great evening in the gardens of Vanilla Village and the warm voice of Chloe Clark! On the menu: Live BBQ cooking & fresh summer salads. Bring your own drinks. Soft drinks, coffee and desserts will be available at the bar. Rs 1,500 per person for the dinner and the show! Call Vanilla Village for reservations on 483 6778.


 Discover the animal world at Casela World of Adventures

Casela World of Adventures is welcoming all during the summer holidays to live great adventures and discover the fantastic animal world. You can enjoy great deals, such as the Aldabra Giant Tortoise Feeding 30 minutes activity at Rs 520 per child (aged between 2 to 12 years) and Rs 910 per adult. The price includes park entrance and lunch (Veg & Non-Veg Burger Meal at the Discovery Centre). The tortoise feeding activity takes place between 9am to 16.30pm. You will also have access to the 4D Cinema, Toboggan, Kids Playground and Petting Farm, Mini Safari, Monkey Kingdom and Walk Thru Aviary. Note that reservation must be made 72 hours in advance.  Thrills at La Vallée des Couleurs

Enjoy thrilling activities at La Vallée des Couleurs Nature Park, Chamouny, this summer holiday. The Nepalese Bridge and 500 Mt Zipline activity is at only Rs 875 per person. The price also includes park visit and mocktail. However, the activity is open for kids as from 10 years of age. You can also enjoy visits to the Animal Farm, waterfall and the main attraction, the fascinating 23-coloured earth in the same price. You will also discover various endemic trees, the likes of Ebony, Bois de Natte, Takamaka and some other rare plants that also contribute to the beauty of the park.  Circus variety show at Baraka Cirq

Baraka Criq is organizing its first variety show in the island. On the programme: aerial dance along with parcour, juggling/comedy, dance and music. The public is kindly requested to donate Rs 300. As seats are limited, the public is advised to make advance booking and confirm their coming to the show. The show is taking place at Avocado Street, Morcellement Montreal, Coromandel.


 School Holiday Workshop by Rays of Hope

Rays of Hope is organizing school holiday workshops at the St Francois Xavier Stadium for kids aged between 4 to 11 years. The workshops are taking place every Monday until 11th December from 12.45 to 14.30. On the programme: free art and craft activities. All materials will be provided during the workshops.  Storytelling at Bookcourt Bagatelle

Head to BookCourt Bagatelle on Saturday 18 November for an enchanting Christmas-themed storytelling day! You will travel to enchanting lands through the beautiful stories. The storytelling sessions will last 15-20 minutes and will take place every hour as from 11am to 4pm. In addition, teachers from the British Council Mauritius have planned some English activities that kids can benefit from! The event is free. This event is hosted by the British Council Mauritius.
