Cehl Meeah said that Government and Opposition are after him. I took some time to go through FSM’s election results in 2010. Whatever one may say, it is a fact that Meeah’s FSM is becoming a significant political force…

The prosecution abandoned the pursuit procedures on Wednesday. However, the police have been ordered to initiate an investigation into whether there was obstruction of justice in this case.

Dans une déclaration, Cehl Meeah indique qu’il est sollicité par le gouvernement pour renforcer les rangs de la majorité. Or, le MMM et le MSM œuvrent pour qu’il reste solidement ancré dans l’Opposition.

Ramantoolah Hossen, the star witness in the case initiated by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) against Cehl Meeah, the leader of Front Solidarité Mauricien, in connection with the hold-up at Bijoulux jewellery shop, came back from the statements he made to the police.  On Monday when the case was heard before the Intermediate Court, presided over by Magistrate Renuka Devi Dabee, the witness exculpated Cehl Meeah for his participation in this criminal offence.
