HHTC Ltd: Specialised training to improve job access

Located in Belle Rose, HHTC Ltd (Hansraj Health Training Centre) was established in 2010. Since its opening, nearly 500 students have been trained in different fields by the centre. HHTC is fully accredited by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA) and specialises in providing training in sectors such as health, early childhood development, management, first aid, ‘Fire Safety and Fire Warden’ among others.

HHTC’s main objective is to provide international-level training that will serve the country. The training centre has provided courses to small children to 12 groups of students since its inception and nine groups for the health diploma. First Aid, Fire Safety and Fire Warden courses are conducted internally in companies in line with the Occupational Health and Safety of 2005. The training centre also provides First Aid, Fire Safety and Fire Warden to several major companies such as banks, hotels and universities.

This year the training centre offers one-year courses in the following areas:

• NC 3 Early Childhood Education and Care Rs 27,500
• A diploma in five month in Healthcare Level 2 Rs 27,500
• Diploma for five month in Care of Elderly Rs 12,000
• Diabetes Management for five months Rs 10,000
• Business and Administration Level 2 Rs 23,500
• Business and Administration Level 3 Rs 33,500
• Pharmacy Dispenser for six month Rs 17,500
• Early Childhood Education and Care (0 to 3 yrs) Rs 13,500
• National Certificate Level 4 in Healthcare Assistant (upcoming)
