Holiday activities at L’Aventure du Sucre
Young and old, enjoy the many activities at L’Aventure du Sure, Beau Plan. You will not only learn a lot about our sugar history but also visit the beautiful sugar estate and the museum. This December, you can also enjoy the special activities and prices. Entrance fee is at Rs 100 for adults and Rs 75 for kids (free entrance for kids under 6). You can indulge in local flavours at the new Beau Plan Express. The old and historic locomotive now hosts a restaurant. The visit includes tasting of over 30 local products. Hans Nayna at Hangar
Do not miss the concert of the local and talented singer Hans Nayna. Hans will be at Hangar, Pointe aux Cannoniers, live to perform for his first solo album ‘Music for the Soul’. The concert will be taking place on Saturday December 17th from 9pm to midnight. Hans will perform his latest tracks such as Feelings, Le King, Welcome to Paradise, With You. YOOL Sunday at Manoushe
If you have nothing planned yet for Sunday afternoon, head to Manoushe at Belle Rose for a fun Sunday. The Lebanese restaurant will be hosting the YOOL Show this Sunday December 18 as from 12.30 to 15.30. The YOOL Show is a circus show comprising of Yool the clown, which will not only delight kids but adults as well. Yool uses a universal body language and a whistle to make the audience participate in a juggling show. Guests will be welcomed at 12.30 and the Yool Show will start at 13.00. Lunch will be at 14.00. Tickets- Pre sales (possible to purchase by card). Price for kids up to 14 years at Rs 300 and for teens and adults at Rs 500. For more information, call on 4654068. Christmas Dinner at CocoTown Kids
Kids, you are invited to a grand and festive Christmas Dinner at CocoTown Kids taking place on December 22nd as from 6pm. Some of the activities for the day will include Face Painting, Cookie Decorating, Pictures with Santa, Dancing and Fun Games with lots of prizes to be won. Price – Kids at Rs 600 and Adults at Rs 500.
Christmas under the stars
As part of the Christmas celebrations, a grand show will take place on Sunday December 18 at Monmartre, Rose Hill from 19.00 to 21.00. The Christmas celebration concert will commemorate the 75 years of the Monmartre. Many artists will be performing during this grand event. The public in general is invited. Two giant screens will be set up in the yard of the Plaza and the other in the direction of the church of Lourdes, for the public to enjoy the concert. Note that Celicourt Antelme Road and Malartic Road will be closed.
AmGaSop in Concert
The little talents of the GaSop music school will be presenting an exceptional concert on Tuesday December 20th. The grand event will be taking place at the Serge Constantin Theatre, Vacoas as from 6pm. For ticket booking contact on 5929-1029.
Songs for the Season 2016
The National Conservatory of Music François Mitterrand will be presenting its great annual concert as part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The concerts will take place on Saturday 17 December at 19:30 and on Sunday 18 December at 15:00 at the MGI, Moka. A hundred musicians and singers will propose a colourful program. Artists participation include l’Orchestre, l’Ensemble Vocal Francis-Thomé, Chorale d’Enfants, the Marching Band, the Select Singers and the Solistes du Conservatoire. Ticket prices are Rs 100 for adults and Rs 50 for children under 18 and senior citizens. In addition, the concert of ‘Junior Strings’ will take place on Saturday 10 December at the Francis-Thomé Auditorium at 15.30. This concert aims to encourage them in their initiation to orchestral music. Entrance is free.
Promenade at Domaine de Labourdonnais
Spend a fabulous day at the Domaine de Labourdonnais, Mapou. You will not only discover our history but many local and endemic plants. Till January 10th kids (under 12 years) will be able to enjoy a free ride in the small train. Tickets for visiting the Chateau are also at promotional prices: Rs150 for an adult and free for kids under 12 years (1 kid free for 1 paying adult). Festivities at Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius
From 19th to 24th December enjoy a colourful programme at Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius.
