News On Sunday Painting competition: Winners to be awarded on Saturday

The suspense will be over for 300 participants of the 5th Edition of News On Sunday Painting Competition. On Saturday, a prize giving ceremony is scheduled for the winners in the four categories. The goal of this 5th Edition, based on the ‘Green Wave Action’ theme, is to revive the youth’s creation of alertness for a Cleaner, Greener & Safer Mauritius. The competition aimed at promoting the importance of eco-tourism as a promising sector of the Mauritian economy. Despite the theme being difficult and demanded lots of imagination, research and creativity, the panels of jury was mesmerised by the paintings. The panel of jury had a hard time for deliberation. News On Sunday seizes this opportunity to thank all the participants for showing interest in the competition. The Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development and Disaster and Beach Management, Mr Alain Wong, will be the Guest of Honour. Lots of surprises and gifts await the winners. The winners will be pampered with gifts like air tickets to Rodrigues, weekend stay at a four star hotel, bicycle, weekend stay in a Villa, Goodie bags, School packs, gift voucher and 28 books offered by the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and Disaster and Beach Management. A mini show by artist of Samoa circus will be present for entertainment. A finger lunch will be served for the guests.
