Fun and educative activities by CocoTown

CocoTown has various activities in the box for you. Here’s how you can spend your free time kids: Till 30th December enjoy the holiday program which is full of activities and outings. Note that outings take place every Thursday. You can book for the following outings: Club Med 1st December (Rs 1,200), Aigrettes Island on 8th December at Rs 800, Pirate Boat on 15th December at Rs 1,500. You can enrol for one day, one week, one month or two months at special prices. 20 sessions are at Rs 6,000. For more information contact the team of CocoTown on 465-8899.

La Vanille Nature Park 

Enjoy a day at La Vanille Nature Park, Riviere des Anguilles with the promotional holiday prices. Till 10th January, entry fees for Mauritians will be at Rs 110 for children up to 12 years and Rs 235 for adults. You will have the opportunity to see the many species of animals among the 2,000 crocodiles and the 500 giant tortoises. You can also enjoy a pony ride and a lovely and caring time with animals in the pet farm. La Vanille Nature Park is open seven days a week from 8.30 am to 5pm.

Summer Camp Chinese Culture Land 2016

Kids and adults, get ready to have fun at the Summer Camp Chinese Cultural Land 2016. Organised by the Mandarin Teachers Association, the summer camp is taking place from the 8th to 16th December (excluding weekend). Several fun and educative activites await you namely: Chinese painting, calligraphy, martial art, cookery, tea art, poem singing, music, handicraft. The camp is open to students aged 10 years and above and adults aged from 19 and above. Venue is at London College, Port Louis, from 9am to 3pm. Fee is at Rs 1,000 per person. Discover sea life at Blue Bay beach

After a successful first edition, the Lagon Bleu association is back with the “Anou dekouver nou fon marin” event. The event, which aims at giving Mauritians, young and old the opportunity to discover the beauty of the local marine ecosystem and the importance of protecting it, is taking place on December 10th on the Blue Bay public beach. A series of activities to sensitise the grand public will be organised by Lagon Bleu association such as snorkelling for the beginners and experienced people as well. Beach games, educative workshops on coral reefs, mangroves, etc. Also on the program an exhibition of the works undertaken by the various non-governmental organizations which militate for the preservation of the marine environment. This activity will be held from 9am to 4pm. This event is a result of the Lagon Bleu project, carried out by the NGO Eco-Sud, whose mission is to contribute to restoring the ecological and biological integrity of the site by raising awareness among fishermen, tourism operators and coastal residents. 

Casela Karting

You are a fan or karting? The newly launched Casela Karting is an exciting outdoor track located in Cascavelle shopping mall. Open 7 days a week from 11h00 to 23h00, it is the only racing track in Mauritius with a cosy sports bar. Whether you are seeking an adrenaline rush amongst friends or an outing for a corporate team building event, thrills and fun will be guaranteed in an F1 ambiance. Kids Talents Show

Radio Plus, in collaboration with CocoTown, is organising a grand Kids Talent Show 2016. Parents are invited to register their children. The preliminaries will end on 7th December. The date of the finals will be revealed once the selection is complete. Registrations will begin at 9:00am - 12:00pm and performances will begin at 12:00pm - 2:00pm. There will be 3 categories for the performances namely Singing, Dancing and Acrobatics. Children will be categorised in age groups: 3 years - 8 years and 9 years - 15 years. Doctor Strange
