West Coast Leisure plans a hotel at Bel Ombre

West Coast Leisure plans to develop a hotel on an extent of 14 acres of land at Bel Ombre. The company has recently submitted its Environmental Impact Assessment report to the Ministry of Environment. West Coast Leisure is a subsidiary of construction company Hyvec Partners Ltd.

The same group has another hotel project at Les Salines, Riviere Noire. Hyvec Group ranks 47th among the top 100 companies in Mauritius. The project consists of a 5-star boutique hotel comprising of 33 independent suites, each having its private pool. A restaurant, a spa and a wellness centre completes the project.

The project is likely to create about 400 direct and 200 indirect jobs and the investment amounts to nearly Rs 1 billion. The promoter will inject about Rs 400 million while the rest will be financed by investors and banks. The company obtained its letter of reservation on 22nd September 2016 for an extent of 16.4 acres.

The main shareholder of West Coast Leisure is Nawaz Khan Chady, who is also director main shareholder of Hyvec Partners Ltd. Its Director is Meghraj Ramlackhan, who is also Director of Broll Indian Ocean.
